Plant Care

Watering:
Philodendron cordatum prefers to have consistently moist soil, but make sure not to overwater it. Water it thoroughly and wait until the top inch of soil dries out before watering it again. Be sure not to let it sit in standing water, as this can lead to root rot. We recommend measuring the moisture of the soil with a moisture meter.

Light:
Philodendron cordatum prefers bright, indirect light, but it can tolerate lower light conditions. Avoid placing it in direct sunlight, as this can scorch the leaves. You can also grow it under fluorescent lights.

Fertilizing:
Feed Philodendron cordatum with a balanced liquid fertilizer every 2-3 weeks during the growing season (spring and summer). Reduce fertilizing to once a month in the fall and winter.

Repotting:
Philodendron cordatum can be repotted every 1-2 years or when it becomes root-bound. Use a well-draining potting mix and a pot that is 1-2 sizes larger than the current pot. Make sure to water it thoroughly after repotting.

      A little rough

Posted by Angie on Jul 7th 2023

The packaging was very good, plant was secured, delivery was good. The leaves were a bit dirty and several old torn edges that were brown from being an old injury. Wouldn’t have chosen this one if shopping in your store, usually your houseplants are beautifully showcased in store. I’m good with plants so I look forward to having it grow into a beautiful specimen.
