Plant Care

Watering:
Nephrolepis obliterata prefers consistently moist soil, but avoid overwatering as it can lead to root rot. Water your Kimberly Queen Fern thoroughly when the top inch of soil feels dry to the touch, and be sure to use a pot with drainage holes to allow excess water to escape. During the winter months, you may need to reduce watering frequency as the plant goes into a dormant period.

Light:
Kimberly Queen Ferns prefer bright, indirect light. Avoid placing them in direct sunlight as it can scorch their leaves. They can tolerate lower light levels, but too little light can cause leggy growth and a reduction in leaf density.

Fertilizing:
To encourage healthy growth, fertilize your Nephrolepis obliterata once a month during the growing season (spring to fall) with a balanced, water-soluble or liquid fertilizer. Follow the instructions on the fertilizer package for the recommended dosage.

Repotting:
As Kimberly Queen Ferns grow, they may need to be repotted every 2-3 years. Choose a pot that is one size larger than the current one, with good drainage. Repot in fresh, well-draining soil that is rich in organic matter. You can also divide the plant during repotting to create new plants. Repotting is best done in the spring when the plant is actively growing.
