Plant Care
Watering:
The Aglaonema 'Etta Rose' prefers consistently moist soil, but be careful not to overwater it. Water the plant thoroughly, allowing excess water to drain out of the bottom of the pot. Make sure the soil doesn't dry out completely between waterings, but avoid letting the plant sit in standing water. We recommend measuring the moisture of the soil with a moisture meter.
Light:
The Aglaonema 'Etta Rose' prefers medium to low light conditions. Direct sunlight can scorch the leaves, so keep the plant in a shaded area or filtered light. If the leaves start to look pale or bleached, it may be getting too much light.
Fertilizing:
To keep your Aglaonema 'Etta Rose' healthy and vibrant, fertilize it once a month during the growing season (spring and summer). Use a balanced, water-soluble fertilizer or liquid fertilizer, diluted to half strength, and apply it to the soil around the plant. Reduce fertilization in fall and winter, as the plant enters a dormant period.
Repotting:
As your Fragrans Maidenhair Fern grows, you may need to repot it to give it more space to spread out. Choose a pot that is slightly larger than the current one, and make sure it has drainage holes. Use a well-draining potting mix that contains peat moss or coconut coir. Gently loosen the roots and place the plant in the new pot, filling in with soil around the sides. Water thoroughly after repotting, and keep the plant in a shady spot for a few days to help it adjust.
