Plant Care

Watering:

Calla lilies thrive in consistently moist soil, but they don't like to sit in waterlogged conditions. Allow the top inch of soil to dry out between waterings, then water the plant thoroughly, ensuring that excess water drains away from the pot. It's essential to keep the soil consistently moist during the growing season, especially when the plant is actively producing flowers.

Light:

Calla lilies prefer bright, indirect light, but they can tolerate some direct sunlight, especially in the morning or late afternoon. Place your plant in a location where it receives bright, filtered light for at least 6 hours a day. Avoid placing it in direct afternoon sunlight, as this can scorch the leaves.

Fertilizing:

During the growing season, fertilize your Calla lily every 4-6 weeks with a balanced liquid fertilizer diluted to half strength. Avoid fertilizing during the plant's dormant period in winter. Over-fertilizing can lead to excessive foliage growth at the expense of flowers, so it's essential to follow the recommended dosage.
